3DMUVE has shifted focus away from the MUVE engine and started using the Microsoft XNA framework. It’s really cool and exciting when you can see your own titles running on the Xbox 360, and that’s what the XNA Creators Club allows you to do. So far I’ve completed, released and had approved my first title, BlockBUSTER. You can download BlockBUSTER to your Xbox 360 by logging into Xbox Live on your console, navigating to the Marketplace then to Community Games.
I just started work on my next title, PULSAR. Pulsar will also be an Xbox Community Games title. At the moment I’m evaluating different technologies but I’m leaning pretty heavy towards the GarageGames TorqueX 3D engine. It’s not actually released yet, but based on early version of the Torque X 2.0 engine, I believe the new 3D engine will meet all my needs.
